Monsterous Sillhouettes
The tripods that frighten me the most also seem to be the most iconic. There is something alien and unreachable about some of the early designs from the late 1800s through the 1950s. The Spielberg tripods look very cool, but look probable. I am more terrified of something that looks improbable. So I began playing around with iconic sillhouettes.

There was a British TV-series called the Tripods which ran for 3-4 seasons. This style reminds me a bit of a similar style they used for the alien tripod models used throughout the series.
